The Warning: Jesus to the Americans

The Warning: Jesus to the Americans

From the One who was and is and is to come, the One who is among you,

To the peoples of America,

Thus says the Lord:

I know you through and through. I know from where you have come and why. I know what you have thought, felt, said and done from the beginnings of your time in those lands that you call yours, though they belong only to your Creator. I have known your inmost motives, and still, I love you. You are special to me even as all peoples are special to me.

Since you are special to me and I love you, I am in deep pain and grievous sadness because of you. My heart grieves for you as one who grieves for children gravely afflicted.

This is what I must say to you for your good and the wellbeing of the Father’s world.

I

To those of you called Natives in America, I say this:

Your ancestors came to this place to find lands in which to live and hunt and gather and farm. They honored the Father in Heaven, who created all things. They sought to live in harmony with the Creation and their fellow creatures.

And yet, some of your ancestors turned against their brothers and sisters of other tribes, and too often warred with them as enemies. Many competed and failed to share of the abundance that the Father provided. Many chose to be disunited and weakened by a spirit of adversity. They received the consequences of their rivalries.

Others built great cities, empires, and took dominion over the peoples around them. Some misused their strength and perpetrated unspeakable things against the peoples. Those empires fell into ruins and are nothing more than rumors. They received the consequences of their vanity.

Your ancestors were overcome by waves of newcomers to the lands. They overwhelmed your peoples and decimated many of their tribes. Many of your peoples now live dispossessed and deprived of the Father’s blessings.

Many lost everything. My spirit has been grieved by your losses. This was not my doing or the Father’s punishment, as some of your conquerors have said. You were afflicted by the evil acts of greedy men. Those who have said otherwise lied. They said it was the Father’s punishment for savage and pagan ways. Those are false words. They twisted their beliefs to justify their greed and their evil actions.

Nevertheless, many of you chose to trust in me. I know your trust amidst your losses and adversities. I see your trust and cherish your devotion in the midst of your afflictions. You are beloved of the Heavenly Father and by me.

You must not let despair overtake you or seek to escape your pains with substances that dull the mind and intoxicate the soul. Do not turn your anger to violence against your families or neighbors. Do not lose heart.

Love one another as I have loved you. It is your love for the Spirit and one another that restores souls. By your trust in the Heavenly Father, your dedication to following my ways and your unity found in love for your neighbors that you are able to overcome your adversities. Work together for common good. Shun fear. Stand upright. Remember: I will always walk with you.

II

To those of you called Africans in America, I say this:

Your ancestors were taken by force from their homelands, their families and their peoples. Everything was taken from them, and they were brutally treated. They were treated as beasts of burden, like oxen sold at auction in an alien land. They were harnessed and beaten and worked and bred to serve others’ love of money.

The Heavenly Father was blasphemed by those who abused your forebears. They claimed that your forebears were little more than animals and not created in the Father’s image, at all. Men of false faith twisted the Scriptures to justify your ancestors’ enslavement. They lied. They called them descendants of Ham, cursed by Noah. Again, they twisted the Word, as so often was done before. And so, they declared that your ancestors deserved servitude as the Father’s punishment for the sin of Ham. They used the Father and the Scriptures to approve their evils against your ancestors in order to serve their love of money. They used the faith they distorted to justify their own greed and brutality.

And now, they blame you for not being more like them and say that you do not deserve allowances for past mistreatments. They claimed you deserved the consequences of Ham’s misdeed, 300 generations ago, and yet refuse to accept the consequences of misdeeds of their ancestors less than ten generations past. They have lied to serve their love and worship of the god of mammon, of material wealth.

Even after the time of your ancestors’ enslavement ended you were mistreated and suppressed. Many have been imprisoned for fear of your wrath. Your struggles and hardships continued. I have seen them and see them still.

None of this was my doing and it has not been the Father’s punishment or will. That was a lie, born of a faith twisted to justify greed. They used their religion to inflate themselves instead of their compassion. The Heavenly Father will not be mocked by faith disfigured by greed.

Nevertheless, many of you, like your ancestors before you, have trusted in me. You have clung to the cross throughout your persecutions. I know your trust amidst your hardships throughout the generations. I see your trust and cherish your devotion in the face of your many struggles. You are beloved of the Father and by me.

You must not let despair overtake you. Pain and anger have driven some among you into addiction to mind destroying substances for relief. For some, vulnerability has turned you to gangs that do harm to your souls and to others. Some breed without care for your companions and children. Do not behave as the slavers made your ancestors act. Care for your loved ones and your children, instead. For some, your anguish and rage have turned against your brothers and sisters. Do not turn your pains against your neighbors or allow your angers to drive you to do them harm. Turn away from those temptations and seek unity with your loved ones and your neighbors, instead.

Trust your Heavenly Father as you are loved. Love your neighbors and work together to build stronger communities still. Follow me and live by my teachings in peace. Do not fear. Your strength is in your faith and loving unity. Trust and love conquer adversity. And remember: I will always be with you to guide and defend you.

III

To those of you called white in America, I say this:

Cultures shape people from whence they came.

People always have more motives for what they think, say and do than they claim or actually know.

Your ancestors came to America shaped by their cultural beliefs interwoven with a faith. Many of them claimed that they came to new lands to find freedom and new prosperity. They came with swords and guns beside tools. And in their quest for freedom, they enslaved other peoples, instead. In their quest for prosperity, they dispossessed the peoples already there and plundered what they had, instead. They came to gain material wealth and the power it promises to confer. And so, you confuse wealth with freedom and sell what freedom you have for promises of more to buy.

Some claimed they came to find freedom from persecution. And yet, they persecuted their neighbors of different beliefs, the natives they found in the land and the people they bought as slaves. They did and said things I never taught. They banished some, confined others and brutalized or killed still more, claiming it to be the will of the Father.

Oh, foolish Americans, your ancestors came to find freedom from persecution, they said, but they persecuted those already in the land and those they bought in the land far worse than they had ever been treated, themselves. This you always have done, and still, you do to this day.

Your ancestors came as immigrants and refugees. Some were treated harshly, but never as harshly as you now treat the refugees among you. You choose to forget that your people were once aliens and refugees in an alien land. You choose to forget that the Father commanded you in the Torah to treat aliens as brethren because you also were aliens and sojourners. You choose to forget that I, too, was a refugee. I taught you to treat others as you want to be treated, but too many of you have not.

Americans have always been proud to proclaim their faith, but as often as not it has been a faith distorted by culture that I never taught. The faith shared by Americans is invested in worldly riches and the freedom and power riches promise to bestow. Wealth is as false an idol, as was the golden calf my people, Israel, worshipped at the foot of Mt. Horeb. Mammon is a false god, and devotion to it is idolatry.

In pursuit of the dream of riches and of the false god of wealth many of your people, throughout the generations, have been driven to commit grave sins in the eyes of your Heavenly Father, the Creator of all that is.

You called it the Father’s blessing. You called it the fruit of your righteousness. You called it the desserts of hard work. And yet, it was also the fruit of sins born of the idolatry of mammon. You built your wealth by stealing the homelands of those who were there before you and your homes instead. You drove them out to barren lands far away. You built your abundance on the labors of slaves you bought and abused, from one generation to another, to sell the fruit of their labors for your own benefit. You built your wealth by depleting the Father’s Creation and its creatures, not for your survival, but to quench an insatiable thirst. You built your wealth on the labors of later arrivals, as well, who worked in mines and factories for payment that kept them poor.  Ones who came earlier turned ones who came later into little more than bonded servants. And then, you declared that wealth was your due because of your greatness and virtue.

Too many have been little more than pirates and profiteers, gleaning ill-gotten gains from those who were weaker. And that you have done too often in my name, claiming it the Heavenly Father’s blessing for your works and your greatness. The Father in Heaven will not forever be mocked for ill-gotten gains taken in my name.

I have said it: You cannot serve the Father and mammon. Far too many among you are slaves to mammon and the sensations it buys. Mammon ensnares and enslaves. Riches addict their pursuers. The more money is gained, the more is craved.

The dream that most of your ancestors came to America to follow was the lure of mammon and the freedom it promises. But it is a false hope and no freedom at all. It ensnares as any addiction does. Why do you think Americans are so less happy than so many other peoples although it has been the richest country for 100 years?  Why do you suppose so many of you are lonely? Why do you think so many of you seek escape in mind dulling substances, stimulations and sensations? Why do you imagine the rich seek power?  Mammon is a false god. Riches are hollow once you gain them. Measuring yourself and others by what you have is a vain and false scale. You are in pain because you worship a false god that promises happiness, but lies and betrays its promises.

Worshippers of mammon become a people addicted to sensation. Many among you are addicted to the stimulating sensations it buys — food, drugs, alcohol, internet images and games, sexual encounters, sports and entertainment, competition, conflict, politics, appearance, self-inflation, longer and younger living, and even to religious experiences. You have become self-centered and weakened by your dependence upon stimulation and craving for sensation. These are the fruit of the love of mammon and devotion to its pursuit. The fruit of the love of mammon is hollow, empty.

And so, you are dejected. You are losing your dreams of riches. More and more cannot afford homes to live in. Many cannot even afford to live in houses owned by others. Most of you cannot afford to pay your bills. You are losing what you saved for old age. You have lost faith in that dream of wealth enough to buy what you need let alone to buy what you want.

Men you have entrusted with position have used their power to secure themselves. Some of them enrich the wealthy and deprive the needy to secure their positions of privilege. That is their nature. You allow them to use some of the wealth they gain to turn you against each other. And so, you blame the neediest for your own wont. Your minds have been deceived and you regard the most vulnerable among you as your greatest threats. This, too, abandons the Father’s will and all I ever taught you.

Your faith is misplaced. You believe in money, mammon, material wealth. It is failing you. You believe in men you entrust with position and they betray you. Your faith is misplaced. You believe in the rich, who use you for labor at too little pay and who fire you at their whim. You believe that the wealthiest will save you when their wealth has been built on you. Your faith is misplaced.

I told you that it is harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, but you have not believed me. Instead, you believe the rich when they pay others to blame the least powerful for your plight and to make accusations that divide you. They say it is the poor that take your money, and you believe them. They say that refugees are taking work you would not choose to do, and you believe them. They say that people who look, think, believe and act different from you are your enemies and are making America weak, and you believe them. They say peoples in other nations should pay for your taxes, and you believe them. They are doing the same that others in their positions have done throughout the ages, and you believe them. They are even using the Heavenly Father and me to divide you. You have been turned into one another’s enemies, and that will destroy America. This, too, abandons the Father’s will and what I taught. They are lying to you and you are badly misled.

You say to me, “But we are the greatest people on Earth; surely, we have done great things. Tell us the good we have done.”  Do not deceive yourselves. There is not such thing as the greatest people in the world. All people are the same in my eyes. The nation in which you live has the most riches in the world, for now, but most of you do not enjoy them. The nation in which you live has the most weapons in the world, but that makes none of you great.

Nevertheless, there have been times when you have done well. You chose to make your nation one that aspires to treat each one equally and all with justice. At times, you have sincerely sought to right the wrongs in your land by educating the illiterate, freeing the slaves, providing for the needy and applying my teachings to your society in how you treat the poor, neglected and abused. At times, you have been neighborly and have often helped the neighbors you know when you see them in need. At times, you have welcomed the refugee. At times, you have worked for justice and peace on the Earth. At times, you helped other nations to stand against aggression. At times, you have been generous to other peoples and nations suffering desperate wont. At times, you have been a deeply religious people and sometimes spiritual as well. At times, you have protected the weak, assisted the poor, fed the hungry, released the captives and upheld justice in the world.

And yet, you are turning away from those virtues. Selfishness, pride, malice, divisiveness and enmity have been growing within you and among you. You have even chosen to follow a man infamous for embodying grave wickedness. An evil man, he is the very opposite of what I taught and what the Heavenly Father wills. He has enflamed your unfounded pride, your anger and your malice. He has made the heart of stone a virtue and many of you have embraced it. Your pride will cause you to stumble. Your fall will bring ruin. Your ruin is in sight, and you must repent before you are destroyed by your intemperate love of money, the addictions it causes to stimulating sensations, the undue pride that has grown within you, and the ways of evil that the lawless one, the man of lies, seduces you to follow.

You are becoming ever more greedy, more selfish, more prideful, more addicted, more deceitful, more hostile, more aggressive and domineering, more divisive, more resentful, ever more idolatrous of a man who represents wealth, ever more lawless, like him, and ever less compassionate, merciful and civil. In sowing these seeds of wrath, you believe you will reap your hearts’ desires, but you will reap your worst fears, instead. These ways lead only to your destruction. This is your warning: destruction most certainly lies ahead unless you turn around and repent. You will lose everything if you do not. I have said it: To whom much is given, much is required. More is expected of those who receive more. Much more is expected of you, America, than your nation has given and you are abandoning even that.

IV

And to those of you called Christian in America, I say this:

Many of you have been earnest in your faithfulness to what has been given to you and to the One who gave it. Throughout the generations, many of you and your ancestors before you have sought to proclaim the Gospel in word and by works of charity. Often your faith has been clear, heartfelt and commendable. Your trust in the Heavenly Father, your dedication to following my ways, your generosity and your love for your neighbors put into action are known, and you are cherished for them.

Nevertheless, culture always seeps into the faith of the people devoted to it and shapes it, often in ways that distort it. Humans always have more to their motives than they claim or realize.

Some hearken back to ancestors and say, “They came here to create a Christian commonwealth, to freely practice their Christian faith unmolested.” Some did, indeed; but interwoven with that, many also came to find riches and follow a faith distorted by culture. They came carrying crosses before them and with Bibles in their hands. They were not crosses of sacrifice, like mine, though. They were crosses held aloft in conquest. And they were not Bibles to reveal, but to exercise dominion. With their crosses they carried their swords and with their Bibles they carried their guns. Those they used for conquest and to extend their dominion.

Some said they came to convert the pagans in lands where my Gospel had not yet been heard. Much more often than not, though, they put aside their crosses to take up their swords and left their Bibles by their bedsides to take their guns with them, instead. They toppled empires. They bartered for more and more lands. They displaced the peoples with violence, those already in the lands. More and more, they pushed the peoples already in the land to the hinterlands. They looted whatever was left behind. Even the people they converted were treated in kind. They drove their brothers and sisters in faith into the desert lands. They took their children to make them like themselves and abused them as they did.

Was all that done to spread the good news I came to bring? Was it done to set the peoples already in the land free from sin and death? Was it done in accordance with my teachings? Was it done in harmony with my Heavenly Father, the Creator of all peoples? No. Your ancestors often claimed so, but it was far more in ravening pursuit of their own wealth, calling it the Father’s blessing.

They followed a faith corrupted by culture. They believed themselves superior to the peoples they met in this new land and those they bought there. That was not my way. They believed that lands, the produce of the lands and wealth, were more important than the people they met. I never taught any of that. Their motives were not what they claimed. People who call themselves by my name must learn truly to discern their will from the will of the Heavenly Father and my words.

Those who are called Christians must resist the constant temptation to create me and the Heavenly Father in their own image, rather than to see themselves from my vantage point. When Peter or James and John were tempted to look down on others, I chastised them. When they excluded those different from them, I chastised them. When they told me that I must not die, I chastised them. When they took up arms against others to defend me, I chastised them. They believed their thoughts and urges were inspired by the Heavenly Father, but they came from their own passions, instead. They believed they spoke for the Father, but they spoke for themselves and so I told them it was Satan, the adversary’s ways that they spoke, and I told them to get behind me.

So, likewise, I say the same to you. No matter how well-intentioned or pious you believe your thoughts and feelings to be, your impulses are only to be of me if they yield trust in the Father, love for the neighbor and justice for the wider world.

Are you so filled with pride that you think you know me better than they did? Do you believe the Spirit makes you any less susceptible to confusing your will with the Father’s? They knew me better than you and do you pretend to know me better than they?

You have turned willfulness into virtue and humility into vice. You have turned dominance into virtue and compassion into vice. Those are not my ways and they do not follow what I say.

Some of your ancestors did come to practice their faith unmolested. But many soon after followed the ways of their culture, and called it the Father’s will. They said their material wealth would vindicate their faith in the eyes of the people of their homeland and the world. They called themselves a light on a hill for all the world to see. They believed something that I never taught. They believed that right doctrine, upright living and hard work always lead to be material increase given by the Heavenly Father. They said it would show the world that they and their faith were favored by the Father in Heaven. That was their pride and their need to be right. I did not teach them that.

And so, when hardships came, as hardships always do, they looked for those to blame instead of changing their doctrine. Whenever they found a scapegoat they persecuted, expelled or killed them in my name. That was never my way. Beware creating false beliefs that serve your own interests, claiming them to be my ways. Beware claiming new revelations, and persecuting others to serve your own pride. It has been done throughout the ages and never has it been my way. Your doctrines, cherished personal notions and pride are rejected by the Father and by me. They are worthless in my sight. What I taught was how to live in harmony with the Father, not what dogmas to impose. That was the way of the Sanhedrin, not my way at all.

Some of you, even now, say that the passions you have to control others is for my sake and to serve the Heavenly Father. There are those among you, who speak of spiritual warfare and taking dominion. Those teachings are not born of me but of impatience and wrath and pride. Did I ever claim that that the scribes and Pharisees or people that did not believe or even Herod and Pilate were controlled by demons and that they should be fought and overcome. No. Such notions are born of vanity and the absence of trust in the power of the Spirit.

Have you not read or have you not heard? “’It is not by might or by power, but by my Spirit’, says the Lord.” You must trust the Spirit to shape people’s hearts and to change people’s ways. That is not your work to do. Resist your vainglorious temptation to use men’s laws to govern the ways of others. That was the way of the scribes, the Pharisees and the hypocrites. It is not my way at all.

To impose your ways and your beliefs on others as manmade laws blocks people’s way to me. When you do that, you build barriers and chasms to the Heavenly Father’s grace. It is not pleasing in my sight or in that of the Father above. Your passion to control the world is not born of the Spirit, but of the spirit of your culture that prizes power and pride and the love of dominance above all else. You have absorbed the spirit of your culture and are deceived to believe it is of the Father. It is false belief. Trust the Father in Heaven, follow my example and teaching, pray for those around you and put love for the needy into action. These are of foremost concern, not your passionately held convictions.

It is commendable that, from one generation to another, your faith in the Heavenly Father and me has stirred the proclamation of my Gospel. It is good that you have spread the message of salvation. It is good that you seek to be filled with the Spirit of the Father in Heaven. These are not to be sought for your own stimulation or to promote yourselves as some are tempted to do. It is meant for strength to love your neighbor.

Especially now, too many of you have absorbed the spirit of your American culture. Many of you have embraced the spirit of sensationalism and crave constant signs and wonders. Have you become addicted to your religious sensations? Does your faith depend upon emotional experience?

Beware; many can be misled by religious sensations and false prophets who insist on them. They can easily become ends in themselves and tools used by charlatans, who seek mammon, or by false prophets, who seek fame and influence. Beware of them. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing and mislead the vulnerable. True religion is manifested in fervent trust in the Father, in dedication to following me and in acts of loving compassion, not passionate religious stimulation.

There are too many among you, called leaders and influencers, who are misleading you, and many of you are misled. As I told you when I was walking the earth, “Beware of them.” Some of them do not trust in me or the Father in Heaven. Some of them stress doctrine and squabble over details of dogma. They substitute beliefs for faith and discipline for love. Some substitute causes of social justice for the Gospel. Some reduce my words to platitudes. Some focus your attention only on your personal salvation and religious experiences. They distract your minds to yourselves instead of the needs of your neighbors and for justice in the world. Some emphasize only moral righteousness to the exclusion of justice in the world, while others stress justice to the exclusion of upright living. Some have absorbed the spirit of your culture and promise you material wealth in this life as well as eternal mansions hereafter. They have been seduced by mammon and the golden calf, and they interweave it with the Gospel.

As in the days of Elijah, there are many false prophets among you in America.

In these latter days, far too many of them have deceived you by purposely weaving together into one cloth a political party spirit with the faith that has been handed down to you. Using promises of making others righteous, of making America a nation under my lordship, of making America even richer, they deceive you to think that my kingdom is of this world and that they can make that come true by means of political guile. It was the same when I walked the Earth. That was the way of the Pharisees, the Sadducees and the Zealots. They were devout. They hoped to usher in the Kingdom of God to Israel. They were wrong. They were impatient. And they failed. The same temptation grips many of you and so, you fail.

My Father’s kingdom is not of this world. Did you not hear my words to Pilate? I said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But my kingdom is not of this world.” Did you not hear Satan’s temptation in the wilderness? “All these nations I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” I replied, “Away from me, Satan!”

There are many kingdoms in this world that claimed to have been under my lordship. None of them actually were. For some it was a hope and for others it was used to gain the allegiance of people of faith to their rule. In truth, no nation or kingdom is more precious to me than any other and. In truth, none has ever been my kingdom on Earth. It was never my mission to rule over any nations or kingdoms. It has been my joy to see nations and kingdoms encourage my teachings on how to treat the least of my brethren and promote justice for all people, but I did not come to rule the world or its kingdoms. You must resist that leaven.

The craving by many of you to advance my kingdom on Earth is commendable, but misunderstands my teachings. I said that the kingdom of God is within you. I meant that the reign of the Father in Heaven is to be elected by each as they choose, not imposed by governing authorities. Faith is worthless if it is not chosen in heart, mind and spirit. Day by day, each one of you decides for yourself whether to follow my ways and honor the Heavenly Father or not. No authority, state, nation or empire can force that to be. To try that, seeks to remove the free choice with which the Heavenly Father has created you. It leads only to hypocrisy and oppression.

Hypocrisy leads to a judgmental spirit. That is what I encountered in the scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees during my time walking on Earth. Times change, but people do not. Many of you have become judgmental of those whose conditions and thoughts are different from your own. You do not want the poor to receive help because you judge them as lazy. You judge those who cannot afford to raise children as deserving the consequences of their choices. Although you came as refugees from other lands, you judge refugees from other lands as parasites in your midst. You judge people who think or act different from you as evil. You judge people in hardship, who you don’t even know, as needing only tough love. These, too, are from your culture, and not the way of love I taught.

Many of you seem to be afflicted by feelings of judgment, resentment and anger. You claim that government is persecuting you and demand government to protect you from persecution. Did you not hear me say, “Take my cross upon you?”  Some even seek retribution, but it is not revenge for persecution you want, but revenge for your own disappointments. This is was never my way. Did you not read, have your not heard me say, “Father, forgive them.” while I hanged upon that cross? That is my way.

Those feelings have created within many of you hardened hearts. Who are you to judge anyone else? Did you not hear me say that you should take the log out of your own eye before you have the unfounded hubris to try to remove the speck from the eyes of others? No better than the scribes and Pharisees, you have hardened yourselves to those you despise. And you are far less righteous than they were.

Your hearts have become hardened and you have turned hard heartedness into a virtue. There are even those of your false prophets who teach that compassion is sin. False prophets they are, indeed.  You must acknowledge that you have hearts of stone. You must seek the Father’s forgiveness and grace to soften your hearts and incline them to love, instead.

You have wed together the deeply held beliefs of your culture with the faith I came from the Father to share. Like some of your forebears, many have come to believe that faith leads to material riches in this world. Like your ancestors before you, you mistakenly believe that if you believe rightly, act uprightly and work hard the Father will bless you with your dream of material prosperity. That is a wish, but not often true. And yet, you believe it because you want to. Many become disappointed and, like your forebears in the land, look to blame others for blocking the Father’s blessings to which you feel entitled. You have been misled to think that if you have not prospered it is due to the sins of others and so you seek to punish them for it. That also is not true. None of my disciples were rich by this world’s standards, nor were many of those who believed in me because of their words. Most were very poor and that did not change because of their faith. This they did: they shared what little they had with one another.

Many of you have been led to believe that religious sensationalism is the true mark of salvation. That is not true. You have absorbed this from your culture. Those are fleeting feelings and can be stimulated by many different forces. Salvation is given of the Father’s love and grace. It is received of faith. It is marked by trust in the Father and in me, by following my ways, and by acts of loving kindness, especially to those in need. known and unknown to you, as well as work for justice. Remember the words of the prophet Micah, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Many of you have been led to believe that the Father is power, that power is of the Father and that you should seek power. Many have come to believe that power is the sign of your faith. This, too, has soaked into your minds from your culture. And so, you look for signs of power. You sing of power. You pray for power. The power many seek is the power of this world to dominate the world instead of to be strengthened to serve the world in my name.

Surely, the Creator of all has all power, but the power you seek is of this world, most often inspired by fear and pride. As angels so often said to the people they met of old, “Fear not.” The opposite of faith is not doubt, but fear. Do not seek power inspired by fear or pride. The Father has power, but the Father is not power. The Father is love. It is love that overcomes fear and empowers you to serve.

Many of you are smitten with fear, though. You fear because you feel vulnerable. And so, you reach out for strength and power to save you. False prophets among you have misled you away from One the Father has provided to a false messiah. They point you to him for power to defend and protect you.

There have been other false messiahs proclaimed by many false prophets throughout time. And now, there are many false prophets in your land, today. They serve a false god, the golden calf. They serve a false lord, power. And they serve a false messiah, a high priest of the golden idol. These false prophets seek their own fame. They seek their own influence and power. They seek their own ways. And some of them seek their own wealth, as well. You have believed them and many of you have allowed yourselves to be deceived by your itching ears and wayward hearts, by your impatience

I told you to beware of false messiahs. You have been warned about the coming of the lawless man of lies. You have been warned about the lawless man, who would promote himself above all else. And yet, your fears, your self-righteousness and your cravings for power and wealth have distorted your thinking. Your fears of not having enough for yourself, of being overtaken by sojourners, of being looked down upon for your faith, of being persecuted by mere monetary fines, of people who are different from you, and of changes all around have led you not to trust your Heavenly Father more. They have driven you into the arms of a lawless liar and ravenous worshipper of gold.

You have been misled by false prophets to follow that false messiah, an antichrist, because you wanted to be misled by what you have chosen to believe instead of me. You have invested your hopes for righteousness in an evil and lawless man, a destroyer. Did you not read, have you not heard that I told you even some of the elect would be deceived. This lawless one seeks all the power in the world to gain absolute loyalty for himself alone. He uses the power of mammon, of gold, of money to coerce all peoples and authorities and nations to give homage to him. Many of you are deceived. You have believed manmade doctrines and replaced trust in the Father and love for your neighbor with them. That has led you to give yourselves to the lawless one. This is not the Lord’s anointed one, as many false prophets say, nor is it the Father’s righteousness you by following him. It is a false righteousness built on a false hope for your personal rewards. You must repent of this.

The America you love will fall, and great will be the fall of it because it has followed an evil man, the lawless one, a liar and false messiah, an antichrist indeed. In pride, you consider your nation to be the eagle, but is it not more like the seducer of Babylon, who sits astride the red beast?

As bad as it will be for America, in those days, it will be worse for you. You bear the greater burden of responsibility for that fall because you should have known better than to proclaim devotion to a false messiah, the lawless one and destroyer. As it has come to pass, even many of those who do not believe in me recognize him for what he is. Indeed, some of them have more generosity of spirit, more compassion and love than too many called by my name in America, these days. How can that be? Many of you, like the religious leaders in Jerusalem, who called for me to be crucified, have done this for righteousness sake, they believed, and to save their nation from pagans. Like them, you do evil in pursuit of what you believe to be good, but you are mistaken.

Beware of what lay ahead if you do not turn around and repent of what you are doing. That day is approaching, the day of America’s judgment. It is coming down your road. It is coming to your gate. It is coming up your pathway. It is coming to your door. Those who do not repent of their vein allegiance to that false messiah and lawless man of lies will not be spared. Repent or you will lose your dream and receive your despair. The Heavenly Father will be mocked no longer.

My heart is smitten with grief for you and my pain is beyond description.

Nevertheless, even now, there is still hope. If you turn away from your idolatry of riches, your craving for power and dominion, your contempt for the poor and needy, your embrace of injustice, your resentments and thirst for revenge and, above all, your devotion to that false messiah, the Father will turn away the consequences of your sins, and America will not fall. The choice is yours. Repent or fall.

Let it be so.
